Welsh History
Welsh History
Wales is an anomaly. Closely tied to its English neighbour since the thirteenth century, it has maintaine string cultural and linguistic identity - and its history is full of romance and drama - not to mention a recurrent series of lost causes. A country that never had an unchallenged King, its Prince is the heir to the trhrone of the United Kingdom.
Druids, princes and rebels (and more than a hint of magic) dominate the history of Wales - from prehistory and a heroic (but vain) defence agaisnt thh might of Rome to modern times and the establishment of a separate government. Wales' history may be little known outside the Principality istself - but is worth investigation.
