Tsunamis/Floods
Tsunamis occur when there is a volcanic eruption, underwater landslide, or an earthquake that causes a type of ripple effect in the ocean and sometimes in lake waters. These ripples are not tiny as with a rock being tossed into a lake, but massive ocean waves. Rare tsunamis waves may rise more than 10 feet, but common tsunamis have waves that are less than 10 feet high. These waves may also reach speeds of up to 600 miles per hour. Tsunamis waves keep coming one right after the other causing massive damage to property and often taking with it lives.
