Music Trends
While many musicians claim to ignore the trends, and that's sometimes true, it's still a good idea to be familiar with the trends. It allows you to converse with music fans without seeming "out of the loop." Besides, there might be some connection to what a musician is already doing that fits into current trends and seeing that connection can allow for greater success. Without watching trends, an opportunity can be missed.
