Ming Dynasty
The Ming Dynasty is generally considered to run from 1368 to 1644, and is sandwiched between the Yuan Dynasty (1271 - 1368) and the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). The dynasty was founded by Zhu Yuanzhang who waited for the right time to seize control of the country. The dynasty started with a peasant rebellion and ended in civil disorder.
The dynasty is famous for its classic literary works produced during this time: Outlaws of the Marsh and Romance of the Three Kingdoms, among them Ming Dynasty architecture remains popular today, with many towns restoring a street to this era as a tourist attraction.
