Geography
Welcome to Geography on Suite101. This section recognizes that Geography is an evolving, interdisciplinary subject that studies the dynamic, ever-changing earth and its inhabitants, and highlights it accordingly.
Maps are associated with geography but the study of geography involves much more than maps. The Suite101 section on geography explores the four traditions of the discipline: human geography (e.g. regional, urban, cultural, and historical); physical geography (e.g. landforms, climates); biogeography (e.g. biogeography of islands); and maps (e.g. cartography, GIS).
