Arguably peaking in the 1970s with the emergence of the ‘Grindhouse’ extreme, B-Movie horror has long reigned as the very embodiment of cult cinema. With cheeky indifference to mainstream sensibilities it has worn its bargain basement production values and relentless capacity to shock and offend with pride.

Running the gauntlet from the likes of classic Hammer Horror, through the exploitive works of Roger Corman and into the Troma Pictures fueled extremes of the 1980s, it is a sub-genre that is both broad and obsessively popular. Once maligned flights of twisted and macabre fancy that are even now finding new respect as they flavor and inspire the ‘Horrors’ of a new generation.
